Working from my studio housed in an old mill building in the beautiful escarpment town of Greensville, Ontario, I spent several rewarding years creating unique, home and cottage furnishings and lighting.

I have a special love for reclaimed wood and objects with history from old homes, barns and antique stores, all of which found their way into my works of art. Aged wood has such a beautiful patina, rich aroma and intriguing traits like intricate bore holes and dark hued rust spots where a hand forged nail once stood. Each rough-hewn plank, scuffed floor board, door with worn paint, or old nail contributed uniquely when re-fashioned into something new, whether it be a sideboard, mirror, buffet, bench, lamp or coffee table.

The design and crafting of my furniture was a solitary and meditative pursuit on most days. However; several times a year I would sell my works at art shows around the province and on two especially exciting weekends a year, my studio, as part of the Beyond the Valley Studio Tour (www.beyondthevalley.ca/) along with several other great friends and artists would be open for guests to visit. This was always an exciting time, welcoming people into my studio to see how I worked and what I had created.

I still love designing furniture and working with wood and will always have fond memories of the time I spent in Greensville, being able to do this each day.
